What are important things to remember when getting help on a college campus?

“There is help available on campus (hopefully...).”

“Be involved with administration and professors from the beginning to work with them for modifications in the consumer's workload. Keep lines of communication open at all times. The consumer, of course, should be involved in all decision making and be the one to give the final OK.”

“University facilities deal with an enormous number of students. It's not unusual to feel like just another person coming into an office, which is important to bear in mind. Nonetheless, university services can often connect you to really valuable resources.”
