What do you wish someone had told you when you first noticed signs and symptoms of a mental illness?

“That Exercise, good nutrition, and adequate stress management can work wonders. Also that a huge percentage of college students suffer from mild depression/anxiety at some point! It really helps to know you're not alone!”

“It's ok. Take care of yourself first. I'll help you take care of yourself. I'm here if you just want to talk about it.”

“People need to know that you can survive mental illness and it doesn't ruin your life. It is an opportunity for growth as a person and you can make it be a strength for you.”
